Bella Coola is famous for it's bears! Check out this Cinnamon Bear!

Early Sunday morning (a week ago), I opened up my bedroom blind and spotted this beautiful, young cinnamon bear, looking back at me from my neighbour's apple tree. I took these photographs through a rainy window so the quality is not the best, but hey....we gotta do what we gotta do, right?!

He knows the latest 'photo-fad' -- sticking out his tongue like all the cool kids do!

This photo was taken in the early morning, before I released my chickens from their captivity within their coops. The roosters were crowing, and he was intrigued. He could not see them from his perch, but he was looking in their general direction. So far, so good -- he's left them alone!

Mr. Cinnamon Bear has been back every day - (more than once!) - for the last week! He has three trees to ravage on the other side of my high-voltage electric fence, allowing me the opportunity to view him on his daily escapades!

So far he's been polite and hasn't bothered trying to get into my homestead perimeters to give my chickens a taste!

This video footage was recorded on his very first visit. His belly was full and he was intent to sit in the rain, listening to the roosters crow.
Depending on the weather, and time of day, this Cinnamon appears a vivid cinnamon-red!

Stay tuned for upcoming bear pics! The season has just begun.
